Our volunteers are men and women from varied backgrounds, with different abilities and motivations for volunteering. They share a common interest in helping others and a firm commitment to being a vital, caring member of our health care team.

The Volunteer Department is “decentralized” - all volunteers are assigned to specific departments. To ensure a meaningful volunteer experience, we attempt to place individuals in areas where their skills, talents, interests, and abilities would best match a department’s need.

Currently we are looking for volunteer who are interested in working in the following areas

Patient Care Area Duties
  • Answer Patient's Call Light
  • Make sure Patient's call Light is within reach
  • Refresh Patient's Bedside water pitchers
  • Refresh Patient's Bedside flower vases
  • Distribute Refreshments / Nourishments to Patients
  • Assist Dietary with menu distribution & collection
  • Pass and remove patient's food trays
  • Assist in feeding patients when needed
  • Offer reading materials from bookcart
  • Read to Patients
  • Assists with errands
  • Assist Patients with tidy up of bedside tables
  • Assist Patients with grooming
  • Interact with Patient's family in waiting room

Office Duties

  • Gift Shop
  • Various Clerical Duties
  • Answer Telephones
  • Take and Relay messages
  • Photo copying
  • Run errands
  • Typing / Data Entry

Pet Therapy Program

  • Patient visitation by trained Dogs and Cats
